Is a private museum which shows you the local traditions and also very nice wood carverz. Definitely worthwile seeing it!

MALIA AND MINOAN EXCAVATIONS

Malia is ca. 10 min from Hersonissos and offers a lot of varieties for your personal entertainment but also cultural wise. Right at the beach you can visit a Minoan Palace!

LASSITHI PLATEAU

The Plateau of Lassithi is the most beautiful area of the island, which shows you the typical life in rural Crete.

AGIOS NIKOLAOS

Visit the little town situated at the Mirabello Bay, which offers – as the name already says – a perfect panoramic view! Enjoy a typical greek Frappe in one of the numerous cafes around the little lake right in the town centre.

ELOUNDA – SPINALONGA

Despite the international referee, Elounda kept its flair of a little fisherman’s village. Take a boat to the little island of Kalidon and visit the former Leper Colony which was established there at the beginning of the 20th century.

KNOSSOS

Is the biggest and most known reconstructed archaeological excavation of the island, which brings you back to the roots of Minoan culture. Visit the palace in which king Minos once ruled!

ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM

After the visit of Knossos, see the antiquities which have been found in Knossos and Minoan sites all over the island.
